KINDERGARTEN READINESS
At Guiding Hands Christian Academy & Childcare, children are taught using the Frog Street Press Curriculum. Teacher - child interaction is the best way for children to learn through play. The children are not only taught academics but also social and emotional skills. These skills are important because it teaches children how to appropriately intact with one another. It is important to us that your child is ready when that important day arrives. .
SMALL GROUP LEARNING
We know that lesson are best taught in small groups. Frog Street Curriculum is developed using small teacher-child centers to encourage learning through play. Child are taught a short lesson and then divide into small groups of learning stations where they learn the information through playing with guided material chosen by the teacher.
SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL LEARNING
As your world become more and more electronic, it is of upmost importance that we teach our children how to interact appropriately with others. A program we teach called Conscious Discipline teaches children how to handle their emotions and how to socialize with others.
